CBD + Ben & Jerry’s? We’re So Down.

Ben & Jerry’s made an announcement in light of the FDA’s impending public hearing, scheduled for Friday, May 31st, which will decide the legality of CBD-infused food and beverages.

Big News

Ben & Jerry’s is known for their indulgent, sometimes out-there varieties of ice cream, and for the makers of such flavors as Half Baked and Magic Brownies, a CBD-infused lineup makes perfect sense.

Ben & Jerry’s statement sites a recent National Restaurant Association survey that collected responses from 650 professional chefs: 3 out of 4 of the chefs named CBD-infused food the hot trend of 2019. Clearly, people want CBD goodies to be a readily available option, and Ben & Jerry’s wants in on the trend.

In the hopes of spurring the FDA towards legalizing CBD-infused foods and beverages, Ben & Jerry’s has submitted comment on the issue.

Speak Up

By the end of the day on May 31st, we will know the future of CBD-infused foods in our country.

Want to voice your support of CBD-infused foods and beverages? You can leave a comment for the FDA during their open window, which ends July, 2nd.
