Ginger & CBD Comfort In A Cup
Ginger and lemon is such a classic when it comes to comforting combos. Ginger is known for soothing sore throats, and actually has the ability to kill rhinovirus- what causes the common cold. Lemon is just as helpful when you’re feeling sick, since it’s packed with Vitamin C- your immune system’s best friend. Adding CBD honey into the mix just rounds out this illness-busting powerhouse. CBD is great for anything inflammation-related, and the cold or flu bring a lot of inflammation with them. Honey is also fantastic for sore throats, and can ease coughs.
Ingredients:
1 fresh lemon (washed)
Soothe CBD honey
1 piece of fresh ginger (about the size of your pointer and middle fingers)
6 oz mason jar, or other glass jar w/ a lid
Directions:
Slice the lemon and ginger very finely. Place the slices into the jar in alternating layers, so one layer of lemons, one layer of ginger, and so forth. Slowly pour Soothe CBD honey over the layers of fruit, and fill the jar with as much honey as you’d like. Seal the jar tightly, and stick it in the fridge. In a few days, your mixture will have turned into a loose jelly. Then, anytime you need some quick comfort or cold relief, scoop a couple tablespoons (with pieces of ginger & lemon!) into a cup of hot water, and let it dissolve.
CBD Honey Chimichurri
This is one of our favorite toppings to have around the house, it goes great on top of chicken or fish, fajitas, tacos, roasted veggies… we could go on! We like using a little CBD honey in our chimichurri for a bit of sweetness, but if you like your chimichurri totally savoury just leave the CBD honey out, and double up on the CBD oil instead.
Ingredients:
– 1C fresh Parsley
– 1C fresh Cilantro
– 1/4C fresh Oregano (optional)
– 3-6 garlic cloves
– 1/3C olive oil
– 1tsp Harmony CBD honey
– .5ml 500mg CBD oil
– 2T red wine vinegar (or apple cider vinegar!)
– 1T fresh lemon juice
– Salt and red pepper flakes
Directions:
Pulse garlic in food processor until finely chopped. Add cilantro, parsley, and oregano (optional) and pulse until herbs are finely chopped. Scoop garlic & herb mixture into another bowl. Add olive oil, CBD honey, CBD oil, vinegar, and lemon juice, and stir together. Don’t add liquids in the food processor, as you won’t get the right consistency. To get true chimichurri, you want the herbs to be finely chopped, not pureed. Season with salt and red pepper flakes to taste.
To use, drizzle your chimichurri over whatever you’d like! It goes great with lots of things, so feel free to get creative.
CBD Honey Matcha Latte
Matcha powder is widely available for purchase in lots of stores and online, and once you have matcha powder, it’s super easy to make this CBD honey matcha latte. Matcha is full of antioxidants and nutrients, and it provides a caffeine boost that many prefer over coffee.
Ingredients:
1 cup hot water
1 tsp matcha powder
1 tsp Harmony CBD honey
1/4 cup milk or coconut milk
Directions:
Heat water to 175 degrees fahrenheit. Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until foamy. Pour into your favorite coffee mug, and enjoy!
